OPAL GUY 

I am the owner of an opal business called  "Opal Guy”.  I have a fine collection of polished, rubbed and rough opal. The collection is mostly Australian Lightning Ridge black and crystal opal, but we also carry other types of fine opal specimans.  I have been collecting Australian opal for over 5 years and try to specialize in colorful black, Boulder and Koriot opal. Opal Guy also carries a great stock of rough opal for the rock hound folks to “pick through” at only $1 to $3 per caret. 

 

I started this as a hobby and like most hobbies, it has grown. I am a retired fire chief, and like most retires, I needed something to do. This is not just an income project for me. It is a way for ,my wife and I to travel, meet people with the same interests and continue with our love for opal and jewelry making. I have created many silver and gold opal necklaces, with the opal in it natural form.  

 

 We are members of the Roxy Ann Gem and Mineral Society in Central Point, OR.
